Overview

CritiCal is available as a free download with optional premium features. The free tier includes full event management, review tracking, notes and tasks, genre organisation, smart filtering, widgets, Siri & Shortcuts, and cross-platform sync for up to 30 events.

Premium features are available through subscriptions and a lifetime purchase option, managed entirely through the Apple App Store.

CritiCal Premium is available at the following prices:

Prices are in British Pounds (GBP). Actual prices in other currencies may vary based on Apple’s regional pricing and exchange rates. The price displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.

What Premium Includes

A CritiCal Premium subscription unlocks:

Free trial terms

The Annual plan includes a 7-day free trial period for new subscribers. During the trial, you have access to all premium features. You can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard annual price.

Auto-Renewal

Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Specifically:

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s settings:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Select CritiCal and tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also manage subscriptions through the App Store app. CritiCal itself does not process cancellations.

When you cancel, you retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.

If you cancel during a free trial, you lose access to premium features immediately, and your subscription will not be renewed at the end of the trial.

What Happens When a Subscription Ends

If your subscription expires or is cancelled:

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Strange Magic Apps does not process payments or refunds directly. To request a refund, visit Apple’s Request a Refund page.

Changes to Pricing

Any changes to subscription pricing will be communicated through the App Store. For price increases on existing subscriptions, Apple will notify you and may require you to opt in to continue your subscription at the new price.
